I called ahead for a booking but walked in to only 3 tables full at 7pm on a Sunday. However, by 730 it was FULL! We arrived off a tip off from social media that the Mystery box was amazing and it did not disappoint! A box each (6 mini bowls) and two starters were enough to fill us up Agedashi tofu here was sublime, truly a warming moment to have the tofu melt in our mouths and the skin stay intact, great sauce The Mystery box definitely had good quality fish. Tuna was melt in your mouth, salmon was buttery and rich, the toro and salmon belly were PHENOMENAL (you should end with this one or you are just playing yourself). Also in the set are a scallop chirashi and fish egg chirashi, both brought a variety of flavours and textures in such small bites. Highly recommend. There are many seats in here and also they were playing by some football on the TV, so it is definitely a bit noisy here. Unless you get the box, eating those pieces really drowns out the noise as you focus on the bowls!

Quality sushi place in Haight and Ashbury! Fish was very fresh and it came out quickly. The salmon sashimi was impressive as it came in pretty thick slices and tasted very fresh. The rolls were made well but were unevenly separated as some of the pieces were quite large and others felt like a half bite. Otherwise we were pretty happy with our meal, nothing too extravagant just good quality fish at normal SF prices.

We got in there ordered it took a minute but it's okay we got our water right away , we put in our order for edamame , and miso soup, everything was super good and even the house salad tasted amazing! It was nice to have a nice warm bowl of soup after the long day of shopping , service was good it was busy but waitress was managing everyone well! The place is cute and small but quality is great! I loved everything we ordered ! Worth it ! Maybe alittle pricey but not really because we ordered quite a bit for $78! I highly recommend !

I had the pleasure of visiting Ginza Sushi and Sake with a couple friends. We were seated fairly quickly despite being a group of 8. I got the Kaiju Roll and shared two Umi Rolls, both of which were superb. I highly recommend trying both of them. If you're looking for a solid sushi spot with a great variety of menu items, Ginza is a solid spot!

3.5/5! A cute medium-sized sushi spot in the Haight-Ashbury district! My friend and I came on a Friday night and got seated after a couple minutes of waiting. We ordered the recommended Moriawase small (chef's choice nigiri and sashimi selection). They gave us extra pieces because they were taking a while. The fish was fresh but nothing special. I would come here again and try the rolls!

Wow, fantastic spot! My father in law loves sushi and lives in the Panhandle area; he says he has finally found his go-to sushi spot. THE WAIT None on a Saturday at noon for 5 of us. This was St. Patty's Day. THE COST $121.68 for 4 rolls, 1 starter, and 1 noodle soup. Enough food for 3 adults and 2 toddlers. THE FOOD * Tomodashi Tartare ($17.99) - 4.5 stars Very fatty, fresh salmon. Simple but excellent ingredients. We ran out of chips and got free refills too. * Scallop Udon Soup ($19.99) - 4 stars * Kazan Rolls ($15.99) - 4 stars Again great ingredients. This was a very creamy, slightly sweet, tasty roll. * Umi Roll ($15.99) - 5 stars This was so good we ordered two. I don't usually love warm rolls, or ones with cooked items, but somehow the baked scallop and parmesan cream sauce work magic together. * Tekka Maki ($8.99) - 3.5 stars This was fine, ordered just for the kids

Ginza Sushi is located in Haights Asbury along the main street. Since I was already in the area, I was craving sushi so decided to stop by. Overall, I was impressed and had a great experience. Inside is spacious with plenty of seating for any size party. There was a pretty mural alongside the wall. They offer a selection of unique elevated sushi rolls. It is on the pricer side but it is quality and well crafted. When I came, I decided to try the chef special and signature roll. Their Ebi roll ($16.95) comes with shrimp tempura, cucumber, avacado topped with snow crab meat, crunch, and hboney spice sauce. Their UMI roll ($15.99) is baked hokkaido scallops, crab, avacado, parmesan cream sauce. The UMI roll especially impressed me with the flavor and how well the parmesan melted in my mouth with the bite. Service is so friendly and checks up that I am having a good experience. They offered me a miso soup on the house and gave an extra bite of sushi. Total came out to around $35 before tip. Excited to come here again and have someone try it with me!

Discovered this place on Yelp while looking for places to eat for dinner in the Haight/Ashbury area. Luckily, my friends and I were able to go during their Happy Hour, where they had various selections of food to order at a discounted price. We ordered the following: - Garlic Edamame: An appetizer that never misses - Sashimi Tasting (1 order per person): We were served with Salmon, Tuna, and Hamachi with radish, fresh seaweed, and a shiso leaf. Very fresh and tasty! - Rock & Roll Roll: Contains eel and avocado drizzled in unagi sauce, very good! - Salmon Avocado Roll: Delicious! - Philadelphia Roll: Similar to the Salmon Avocado Roll, but also has cream cheese. Some other places put too much cream cheese, but this roll had the right amount! - Handrolls: I ordered the Spicy Salmon Hand Roll without Sriracha, but I kind of wished I ordered the Spicy Salmon instead for a little more flavor - Umeshu Fizz: Plum Wine with Yuzu Juice and soda, super refreshing and sweet! I would order this cocktail again We definitely took advantage of their happy hour which is 4-6pm on the weekdays, and we left the place with happy tummies. There was only one server working at the time we came, and she was so friendly and tried to accommodate everyone dining as best as possible. The sushi chefs were also very welcoming when we entered the restaurant. It wasn't super crowded when we went, and the inside has nicely decorated walls. One item I want to try next time is the Salmon Usuzukuri!
